Thread: spark plugs again

so yesterday morning i came to car and it started and while i was cleaning the snow i heard it idling weird. engine light came up, and since i had this problem last year i knew it was related to spark plugs. came home picked up my laptop connected vcds and it was showing cylinder 2 and 3 missfire. so today i went back and changed them with brand new oem NGK platinums (which i kept in my car just in case), and when i was finished it started right away. no funny noises, no weird idling, like brand new car.

This whole thing about the plugs is interesting,as apart from one set that were past their sell by date,I've been (fortunate enough maybe) never to have problems here.
Mine has run on stock plugs from stock to Stage4,and as long as they get changed regularly,everything is fine.

That's running rather rich, can you trim the fuel a bit? Lots of cold starts / short runs?

Tempted to re-gap?

can't do anything with map. yes there are cold starts, and short runs and it was fine untill temps went to -10 every day for a week or so now. it's freezing here. old plugs were too long in (in my opinion) but didn't change them on time so had to do it hard way. with new plugs it started right away and it was smooth all the way back home.
