    Audi s3 turbo valve diaphragm?

    Hi all, im still on the quest to sort out my "cylinder bank 1 lean" problem.

    Today i took it to my local VAG specialist and they put the car on the diagnostics and again, it came up with the same thing.

    I have no inlet air leaks, nor exhaust leaks.

    The diagnostic print out gave the following possible issues:

    Inlet air leak

    Exhaust gas leak

    Fuel pump (g6)

    Injector

    The service chap also said to check the valve on the back of the turbo?

    I have checked the diverter valve, but did not know there was another valve on the turbo, he says there is a diaphragm that splits?

    How true is the above?

    If so, how easy is it to change?

    The old version diverter valves have rubber diaphragm which tend to split. I had this issue and was losing power. I changed it to the revision D (newer version) diverter valve which does not have diaphram and it sorted it.
