On a 2008 s3 3dr[pre-facelift] how do you remove the rear diffuser?
It's attached to a lower panel on the rear bar.
I've tried the search function [for hours!] but haven't come up with what I want to know.
Also,has anyone carbon wrapped said diffuser,and if so,how-on car or off etc.

You need to remove rear bumper mate then on the back side there are a couple of screws and clips holding the diffuser to the bumper

8P2 - there was no 8P1 S3 (they were the split grille ones).
And yeah, remove the bumper, then detach the diffuser from it (I think). You might be able to take it off with the bumper still on the car, but will be trickier to get under the car.

I thought they were one piece, integrated with the rear bumper and just painted a different colour?
IanS3 has a carbon wrapped diffuser, he attempted it himself with no joy and then tasked someone else the job.
