Thread: Radio change, please advise!!

Hi everyone, decided not to get and iPod adapter and i am now thinking of changing my radio to a newer style symphony that plays mp3 cds. I know that i need this adapter KUFATEC GmbH & Co. KG - Audi Bundle Adapter Radio- Navigationseinheit BNS 5.0, Concert 3 35713
because the rns-e adapter doesn't work properly, will i need to re code the car or is it just a case of change the units over and add the wiring adapter? if so then i can finally listen to the music i like in my car yay

Britain's a large country; you might want to add which county you are in so people can get a sense of if it's feasible to offer their help for any coding! Shouldn't be much for a straight head unit swap (upgrade of similar unit)

dont forget, the RNSE has SD memory card slots - so you can fit quite a lot on on and just leave it in the RNSE - would be a much higher capacity than an MP3 CD - 700MB.

also the RNSE and maybe some other stereos, you can get an MMI cable and attach a hard drive directly to the stereo to store your music on - i don't know if there is a max capacity for this, but Audi sell an audi hard drive with 250GB for this purpose.
