Can anyone recommend a place I can get my 09 s3 sportback remaped?? I live in Aberdeen so anywhere close would be good.

I am also considering a remap on a recently purchased 09 S3, I have been looking at a place in Stirling, SPAutobahn Independent Porsche Specialist - SP Autobahn German marque servicing and repairs in Central Scotland they quoted £499 for stage 1 with tweaks to suit your specific vehicle set up and driving style.
I'm still in the early stages of reaserch but I'll let you know if I go ahead with anything.
Sorry I can't give you close by, but an hour and a half drive south to kirkcaldy to Star Perfomance wouldn't be a wasted journey. They offer the GIAC map, very knowlegeable and experienced outfit. Plus you get to have fun driving back home
I'm sure others will be able to give you something a bit closer.
Nug,
I got e-maps to do my 07 TDi 170. If you enquire on their website you can get the details. Their guy will come to you by the way....

I would say Star Performance as well...never used them myself but know a lot of people that have and they have all been extremely happy. They do the full checks first before doing anything which i know a few other places that don't.

Thanks lads, ive used them before with a leon i used to have. Might give them a call, The thing is i have a let mini I was needing to get set up so was hoping to get a deal on them both, dont know if star to deal with vauxhalls
Ill give jim a phone.

Wallace Performance (right behind Audi in Altens) are the Revo dealer for Aberdeen, and Motorwerks on Forrest Avenue Lane are the CustomCode agent up here too. Both are top-end, well known and respected maps.
2008 8P2 S3 - Black with black grill, lots of extra + LED DRLs and plate lights, MY11 rears, Evoms CAI, Milltek TBE, H&R ARBs, H&R 25mm springs, genuine BBS RS861 "Speedlines" 8.5x19 ET48, R8 Brakes (Brembo 4-pots/AP 362mm rotors, custom DaveB carriers) - - - 317bhp, 295lb/ft - might be mapped
Wouldn't touch Wallice with a barge poll. I took my sti to them about 3year ago. They put a base map on my car that was made for another customer that had far too much boost for the spec of my car resulting in blowing my head gaskets.
Been looking at the shark plug and play, also like the sound of the bluefinn. Anyone in town running ether of these?? Might go and speak to motorwerks when I get home. Do u know if he does vauxhall aswell?
Where abouts in Aberdeen are you guys?
Baz
Thanks rosco. Yea w8 pm'ed me good to hear feed back about their maps fool proof is what I'm after and I like the fact you can put the standard map back in the ecu as I still have a warranty. Was hoping to get both cars done at the same time but can't find anyone that does Audi and vaux.
Really? Not really heard much about them, but I know Revo is a highly recommended map (usually for the after sales service etc). Pretty sure I'll be getting CustomCode Stage 2+ when I get round to it. Can't justify the price of a new clutch and dmf until after I buy a house though, so random stage 1 (that I didn't even know the car until it was rolling-roaded a few weeks ago) will have to do for now.

Sound will ask the boy about customcode. Just got my 2nd s3 last Thursday so there's no rush. Is motorworks open all the time??
Think I've seen their caddy van kicking about.
They're open during the day, regular hours (I guess that's what you mean) and usually happy to have a wee chat if you just pop in. Chances are he'll tell you to come back in a couple of days though when he's got more time. Give them a ring first is probably best option, I'll PM you Dave's number.

Cheers for that. Do you know if they do a plug and play?
Not sure of the process, but pretty sure stage 1 is just a generic ECU reflash for the engine type, so would be "plug and play".

Cheers I keep using the term plug and play Im meaning like an sts or bluefinn. I'll phone dave in the morning.
Oh, like a remote unit you keep so you can change it back to a standard map? Don't think they do that, I guess check the CustomCode website maybe.

Offer is still there if you want it. I guess you want the option to revert back to standard for trips to the dealers?
I used Motorwerks too. Dave did mine also. My only issue is that it looks like my Stage 2 was loaded but they have missed out the lamda sensor part of it for my decat. It's meant to be a custome map for the stage2 so not sure what went wrong. Haven't had the time to take it back in to get it sorted out yet but Dave said just to take it back in at any time I like. Now that is service.
About the remaps....... The custom code remap is a great remap ijn the way you get power right through the rev range whereas the revo one is quite an aggressive delivery of power. i did a bit of studying on this before deciding. Wallace performance was bought over about 3-4 years ago so and are a lot better than when they were at Bridge of Doom. The only issue I have with them is that they don't know a lot about VAG motors. Whereas Motorwerks only do VAG and some other prestige brands.
Thanks
Rob

+ another 1 for Shark Performance STS. I have their Stage 2 map at the moment, soon to go Stage 3 as soon as I have my Autotech HPFP internals (supplied by W8 Performance) fitted. Loving every minute of it, ultra smooth silky power delivery, car never misses a beat!! After sales care is brilliant tooxx

SHARK PERFORMANCE STAGE 2
I was about ready to jump on the 'dont touch Wallace Performance' bandwagon as i used them a few years back for an exhaust which had to go back over a dozen times to get sorted.. Havent had, nor know anyone that has had any dealings with them since being taken over by new owners though.
Rob, do you know what kind of remaps Motorwerks do? I.e. shark, customcode etc? Or is it there own? Also, any idea on prices?
Hey 5ean, it's Custom Code that Motorwerks do. Their website is under construction at the moment, but I' sure Rob or one of the gang will give you an idea on prices.xx

SHARK PERFORMANCE STAGE 2
custom-code or viezu at motorwerks, and Revo at Wallace.
No issues using wallace performance for Revo. Probably better service than you used to get a checkpoint thats for sure.
CustomCode Stage 1 on a 2.0 TFSI is £450 +VAT according to the custom-code.co.uk website

Shark all the way. We are about to become Shark's Lancashire dealer. I spent a good few hours down there this week talking to Ben and they really know their stuff and work tirelessly, sometimes until really late at night perfecting the maps.
Put it this way, I can't wait to get the REVO map off my S3 and get the stage 3 Shark map on there![]()
Paulie can you upload the stage 3 map via STS too or do you require a trip to see Ben? I know obviously stage 1 and 2 are possible with STS but wondered if stage 3 required more attention. Did you go straight to stage 2? If not what is the difference like from stage 1 to stage 2? I have a Milltek TBE lying about but not sure to stick with stage 1, go to stage 2 or go the whole hog for stage 3. I have 11 months warranty left too so might wait until then before deciding.
In all honesty stage 1 is pretty sweet and I wonder if stage 2 or 3 is worth the hassle/expense and the potential decrease in reliability. Decisions, decisions!
How's your clutch holding up with stage 2?
rosco11 did I do your car via mk5golf?
Hope it's all going well!
Think I will go for an sts! But I would like to be able to turn back to the standard map if it has to go in for warranty work. Is it possible to do this with the sts? Sorry can get the web site up offshore.
Baz
Yes Rob Xmas auction. All is going well covered around 600 miles post map and very impressed. Not been on mk5gti much since but have posted a few times on here about your £100 off offer and the quality of the map.
The car now is so much nicer to drive in town, low speed gear changes are so much smoother. The extra power makes a difference and my commuting mpg has picked up 2/3 mpg so win win
Still not sure about going beyond stage 1 though but only for the reasons above.
Drop me a pm and I will sort you out.
