Hi , which way does maf go into itg ,silver at the top facing itg,or silver at bottom facing turbo?
Does it go this way in ,ohh err misses,, or the other way..lol
That little hole faces the Airflow mate.

if your maf is dodgey, will it feel gutless past 4k revs and eventualy bring on the emmision light? my car is doing this and am thinking dodgey maf....?

Have you tried vagcom first ?
vagcom won't tell you you have a bad MAF as it jut can't read the airflow correct, always a good way to test if its the MAF is just unplug it, if the car then runs sweet bang a new one in, mine had a few misfire issues, tried the usual plugs and coil packs and still had the issue, so though ill give it a go... job done
