Thread: Sudden "Oil Leak"

Hi,

Took car for a routine MOT today to Audi.
While there the following problems were found.

ABS Pump/Sensor kanckered = £588.38 to fix
Knew the fault was there as the dash light came on. Spoke to Audi UK today to see if they can help me out. Fromt what I've read, not just on here there is a manjor "known" issue with them.

Oil Leak in or around manifold = £600.34 to fix
Full service was only carried out in November, don't understand how all of a sudden I can develop an oil leak "in the manifold" ???
Without any sign of leakage or problems... apparently a valve had collapsed!?!

Cam Belt change = £342.07 to fix.
Fair enough, needs changing after 5 years. Although a kick in the teeth since I've only had it 2 but hey ho, ntohing I can do about that.

I would try an independent specialist. My car has just been through Edinburgh Audi for a recall, which involved changing injectors FOC. Car leaking oil soon after, covered the engine and my driveway. Took it back to them and they have changed the rocker over gaskett as that was the problem. No explanation, no apology. Piss poor IMO.

Definitly down to poor workmanship/service policy. Will never go back again, only went becase I had a recall issue.

Last service was done by an independant garage as I needed it done next day before a long a*** journey.
I'll question it again wehn I pickup the car tomorrow.
