Currently paying about 600 quid for my insurance. I got a quote with a 26% + increase in bhp and the cheapest quote was about 1500 and the next best was 9 grand! All the maps for the 1.8 give over 25% increase in power, i guess maybe on an s3 the increase isnt as significant as a percentage. If i quote up to 25% increase then i can get a quote for about the same as im paying now.

I know some use switchable remaps maybe that would be the way and not tell them.....only joking though
depending how far through your insurance you are may be worth a change, try someone like greenlight they are a specialist performance car insurer and deal well with modifications
