Thread: rns-e 193 b versus g

Hi does anyone know what the difference is between the rns-e 193 b and g models is?

I think the G has the gloss frame ie BE model.

As Paddy says, the one with the part number ending in 'G' has the gloss black surround and is fitted in MY11 onwards cars. The 'B' has the self coloured (matte) surround and was fitted in MY10 cars. xx

Might be cheaper than selling your own to buy the 'G' version.

So it's just the black surround around the screen then? No difference in processor (e.g speed/performance) or other functionality? Also does the b model support 32gig SD cards? Sorry for all the questions, just very difficult to get detailed specs for these units online.

Both same internally, 32gb x 2, processor, screen res.

What is that bit like to fit? Screws? Clip on? Nice upgrade

I've taken mine off before to clean the screen properly, slightly OCD maybe!

I'm sure you flip the screen out as if you're removing the DVD disc.

Underneath there is 2 small Philips screws

It was a while ago so don't quote me on that but it was a 5 min job nonetheless.

I've bid on a rns-e on eBay, assuming I win the auction are there any suggestions of any good places to have it fitted? I live in south london and would be willing to travel up to 30miles to find a good place. Thanks.
