A3 Sport Tdi Facelifts

Newbie here so hi!

I'm looking to get a a3 tdi sport, likley a 140 unless a find a 170 at the right price. I'm looking around 04-07 plates, with preference on condition/mileage. I have noticed there seems to be a facelift around 05. Can anyone shed some light on the differences? From what I have seen the steering wheel is different but perhaps there are some suttle differences in the lights/grill etc.

For 3dr cars, the facelift to the "big grill" came in 2005/55 plates (the 5dr Sportback came out with the big grill front end on 54-regs). The big grill tied in with the square airbag steering wheel which looks so much better than the old style wheel.

The TDI 170 engine came out mid 2006, majority are 56-plates onwards, but there's a few 06 plates too.

There was a facelift in 2005.

The biggest change was the move from split grill to a one piece grill. So new front bumper, wings, bonnet, grill and I think the fogs and fog surrounds were also changed.
