I just registered to this forum. I recently bought an A3 (57) 2.0l TDI (140ps) S-Line sportback and I have a few things to ask about it.
I appear to have a phone adapter-jobbie thing on the dash and after some research it seems to be a genuine audi accessory. I found a pic on this forum, in another post, that shows what I am talking about. (See below) I also have the shark-fin aerial on the roof.
I didnt get a cradle with the car so just bought one for my iPhone. This should be with me shortly, but in the mean time I have a few questions as I have no idea what setup I have here.
1) Exactly what functionality will I get with this accessory? I know that the signal is boosted and the phone will charge.
2) Can I play my iPhone content through the stereo?
3) I dont have a MFSW andI cant see any buttons anywhere to control the phone. Is this normal?
4) Where is the microphone located?
I intend to fit a MFSW shortly as I have cruise and DSG already. I think this is relatively straightforward? If anyone has a suitable wheel then please get in touch ;-)
