Need some expert advice...
I have been searching for a set of BBK which can fit under the 18 x 8J Rays Volkracing G2 wheels. Whilst the Alcon Advantage Extreme is probably the best kit I may find in the market, this Mono6 kit comes with a 365 x 32mm rotor disc which is slighly too big to fit inside the wheel without a spacer added.
I therefore thought about getting the Mono4 kit, which comes with a 343 x 32mm rotor disc. Personally, I prefers the 4-pot caliper, since Hong Kong (where I live) is such a small place and without track facilities, really aggressive driving is not that common. I've never been able to go beyond 160km/hr and I'm too chicken to drive really fast. However since the stock rotor size is already 345mm, I have no idea what the implication is to use a smaller disc (though it's just 2mm difference)... After all, I wish to find a set of brake which can give me the comfort to drop 30km/hr within 2 secs when needed.
Based on my wild and unscientific guess, a smaller rotor with a caliper with more pistons may provide slight improvement in braking efficiencies.
Would it be also a good idea to get a rotor, Alcon or 3rd party, to fit with the caliper?
Secondly, will the ABS be affect after BBK is put in?
Thanks for all your thoughts in advance...
