Hi Guys, wondered if you could help....

I have a 2010 S3 s-tronic, 14,500 miles standard car with no modifications. Only recently I have noticed that when accelerating (not hard) the car seems to 'blip' every so often and feels an uncomfortable ride. It only last a split second but very noticeable. The blip can be seen on the rev counter jumping down sharply by 100 revs or so.

It does not happen every time but mostly when accelerating in higher gears (4+). My next stop will be Audi but I thought I would run it by you guys first. I have read the hesitation and rough idle threads but none of these apply here.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Possibly the fuel filter? My s-tronic was a bit odd usually from 4th to 5th when joining a motorway, like it refused to change automatically, changed the filter and fixed it. Ultimately though you need to scan it for faults, though as yours is under warranty i'd just take it back.

100% plugs! Its a small misfire. 14,500 on one set of plugs is good going!

well either plugs as silky said, or another very possibly culprit are the coil packs, on audis they are shocking!!
