Can't decide between Lava Grey and Dolphin Grey for my soon to be ordered 3.2 S Line. Anyone got any thoughts on one coulour to the other?
 
I considered these colours as well.
I thought,of the two,Dolphin looked 'classier'.

Then I chose Akoya silver !

I was in the same boat as you. Went for the Lava Grey in the end. Would attach a pic but not sure how to?
 


No you mean brilliant black - see even it's name points the way...

Discussing colors is so hard, you always end up p*ssing someone off. So here I go:

Lava Grey:
Not grey at all, it's brown!

Dolphin Grey:
Can't possibly find a more dull color than that (maybe RAF grey?).

Akoya Silver:
Where's The Silver??? It's lavander, or lilac!

Red:
Don't red german cars make you cringe???

Mauritius Blue:
Different, interesting, nice with a light grey interior, but maybe a little "toyish"...

Brilliant Black:
Nice, classy, but it's all surface, no depth...

Silver:
Nice, classy, and by far the easiest to keep dirty.

Forget green and white.


See, in the end you have to go for what appeals to you and not listen to blabbermouths like me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Ya gotta make your mind up and be ready for others to question your judgement /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif.

You'd be amazed how many people I've met who cannot even see the merest hint of lilac in it at all.
Weird.It's lilac as lilac can be.

Avus silver, spot on, not too light like liquid silver and not too dark either.....
More of a classy colour!

Anyone got a good picture of a silver A3 s line hatch just to compare?

I hope no-one gets fussed re: color choices... It's an immensly personnal thing!
 
I must say I think the new A3 looks good in Red, especially if it's a S-line.

Gonna be too many Ebony Black. When mine arrives in (hopefully) a couple of weeks I want other Sportback drivers to be thinking "/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/swear.gif, I should have gone with Ebony Black rather than this girly lilac colour"

Check out the Sportback accessories brochure for these pics too. The wheels are 7.5 x 17 Calera wheels at a snip of £220 each. 18s available too at £250.
