    Rusty break discs ?

Hi everyone just a quick question about my new break discs ive had all new breaks discs and pads all round for about a week now and on the edge of then and on the hub part the have got some surface rust and it looks abit rubbish. i was wondering if anyone else has had this ? if so how could i stop the rust from getting worse ? is there anything i could put on the discs to stop it ?

Any help would be much appreciated jonny

People often rub them down and paint them with hammerite or such like

    brake

The A3 seems to do this, I rememeber people buying new A3/S3s and they did the same. Im not sure hammerite is heat resistant.

Paint them with Hammerite. No need to rub them down as hammerite reacts with the rust and it will only be light surface oxidisation at this stage.

With the Hammerite - are you applying it to the edges of the discs and the hubs?
