MY09/11 - different when lights are on?

How different are the My09 and MY11 rear lights on the 3 door to the pre-facelift lights when they are on at night?

Does anyone have some night shots that shows a comparison please?

They are the same.

I did think that when a 61 plate S3 went past me last night but just needed confirmation before I pushed for a set to upgrade mine. So just paying for a different daytime look then really!
