Two questions please...

1. What is the significance of the hazard warning dashboard switch stayling lit when car is locked/armed? Is this normal?

2. Siren fails to ring out when alarm is breached, anyone able to decipher this?

Don't know about the alarm siren, but the hazard light switch staying on after locking is normal....

Oh just noticed the hazard switch is now off but the car is still armed. Is that normal or should it stay permanently on?

Thanks. Had a look at the fuses but found no individual one for the alarm horn.

Guess that leaves the wiring or horn itself. Can it be silenced by VAGCOM? I can hear hear the alarm horn when I unlock the car but only open the boot.

Gonna get it checked by Audi specialists tomorrow.

hazard switch will stay lit for some seconds then fade out.......the alarm will still be activated.............there is a fuse for the siren....number 35 or 44/45 not exactly sure which one but one of them fuses does 100% disable the siren. and yes it can be turned off in vcds(vag-com) best is ....take off the fuse cover....activate the alarm and pull the fuse out.
