streched tyres

what a massive pain in the !@$£ the 215/35/19 that has never stayed up longer than a week has finally died, the inside sidewall has collapsed the tyre is bulging out so bad all the way round and the vibration was so bad that i couldn't go over 40mph,
so i think im gonna go a bit wider.
anyone running 225/40/19 or 225/35/19 on a 8.5j up front on a facelift sportback with any issues ?

i had hankook 225/35 on my 8.5J rs4s, loved them. Depends how low you are on your coilovers?

As Steve said what make tyre you using? I'm running 215/35/19 and got no issues

Depends, wheel could be buckled or cracked, hence tyre not staying up lad!

Also with stretched 19's avoid drain covers pot holes etc .No problems here with normal use ,But I have a couple brand new Knackered Falkens with eggs due to not watching road surface blemishes ...You want looks you have to except these things happen

i'm runnig 225/35 19's on 8.5 inch ET48 Speedlines and standard S3 suspension front and rear.....no issues whatsoever

I run 235 35 19's on a 19" 9J rim - no probs at all, even when on the track:thumbsup:
