Stereo totally locked up

Evening all,

Tonight whilst driving about listening to a cd on the standard head unit in my black edition, the stereo decided to completely fail in that non of the buttons on the main facia or the steering wheel now work????
The cd still plays but obviously it is at a fixed volume, I can't skip tracks or switch to radio.

Any ideas??

Unplug the battery for a few seconds to see if that sorts it, could be a one off.

Yes, i was gonna suggest taking battery out too.

Turns out that I must have upset the car or something as it just came over all menstal and stopped working. Went and did a spot of shopping with the wife and when we returned the car had cheered up and worked fine.

Weird.
