I've got a 2004 3dr 2.0tdi manual (BKD) on 52k miles. Had a remap earlier this week and my clutch has slipped once in 5th gear. Never had any clutch signs before the map and no other symptoms of a DMF problem. It's booked in next wednesday to have a Sachs clutch fitted but I'm having trouble sourcing a Sachs DMF too? I've got the Sachs clutch on it's way and I won't know which clutch ( LUK or Sachs ) that my car has fitted until it is on the ramp so I was trying to source the DMF too so that it could all go in together but what is the likelihood that the DMF will need doing and will I definitely have to change it if it is an LUK?

It's also having belt / pumps / camshaft sensor / coolant sensor done too

Thanks for all your help

I'd always change it whilst it's in bits. If it fails you'll have to strip it all down again. Personally if it's only slipped once I'd just run it until it slipped loads. That's me anyway I like using every useable part up to its death lol.
