Hi, I've noticed recently that on bumpy roads the that my Bi-Xenon offside headlight beam wobbles up & down, it only does this on main beam & only on the offside light, Is this normal, or is the shutter loose or need adjusting? is this possible to adjust or are they a sealed unit?
N.B. the headlights came as a factory fitted option.

Cheers

Hi

Both my lights do this, car is booked in for 1st service next week and I've asked Audi to look at it. Will let you know what they say.

Check the 3 fixing bolts & the bulb itself is fitted fully.

My offside xenon does this too, I think it does it on dipped too but very noticable on full beam - only a week old.

Both my A3 and S3 did this. I think its because the edge of the beam is cut off so clean that you notice the moment in the beam much more than nomall headlights. Its the same in other cars with Xenons.

Fraid I'm gonna disagree the V50 Volvo I've just sold had the active "bendy" xenons which didnt wobble at all, they just seemed to light the road on a cushion of air, smooth as. So to have the right hand light wobble is an odd one.
