Hi all,

anyone knows weight of the dashboard and how much weight hidden behind the dashboard?

I am stripping the S3. i want to keep the oem look while saving some weight. i dont want to take out the dash if its not going to worth.
so i need some more info before deciding to strip the front.

anyone got any pics of behind dashbord? (i already took out the passanger airbag)

any help will be much appreciated :icon_thumright:
 
The biggest weight will be the rather large support bar behind the dash, this will certainly remove weight, but if its a road car, could save your life one day, but if track then could give you better times if removed.
 
thanx mate, i didnt think about the support bar. as you said its not a good idea removing it on a road car. but as i am thinking to put in a rollcage i should take this in to calculation.
