dpf nackerd a3 170 tdi quattro

hi all the dpf is dead on my a3 tdi quatrro . its going to long life next week to remove dpf + remap cost £600 is this about right. any ideas if its a good thing or bad. thanx in advance for any replies

this is not true. Mine got through second MOT with no probs (smoke level 1.28, limit 3.00) and new MOT affect only 58 cars onwards with the limit 2.0 units even though would have passed it!
