As the title says where can I find this code I've been told it's three letters but can't find it for love nor money

Engine block code where can I locate it pics would be handy !!!

Look at the sticker on the inside front cover of the service manual or if you haven't got one the same sticker is in the spare wheel well in the boot.
To my knowledge the engine block itself does not have any letters on it. The head has, but not the block.

It will also be at the start of the engine number stamp on the block itself. Usually under the inlet mani iirc
