16618 fault code

16618: Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition) no lights come on in the dash,car go's very slow...cant get it to go over 80mph.........only does it in higher gears on A roads etc.........if i boot it local its ok.

N75 has been making a whirring noise for about a month now.

  • Check Charge Pressure Control System
    • Perform Output Test (to check the Turbo Charger)
    • Perform Basic Setting (to check the Charge Pressure Control)
    • Perform Pressure Test to locate Leaks
  • Check/Replace Boost Pressure Control Valve (N75)
  • Check/Replace Boost Pressure Sensor (G13)
  • Check/Replace Turbo Charger

would a faulty n75 cause a underboost or overboost?
 
BUMP !!!!!!!!!!! i disconnected n75 via all the pipes re-connected...............cars ok now !:think:
 
Vw745 IM having the same issues help me out bro !
 
I'm now having the exact same issue. any updates to this? My cars done 150000 im hoping its not the turbo
