Ok so I was using my key to prize out something and ended up bending the blade a fair bit. I've managed to bend it back to shape however you can see a weakness in the blade bit itself. Am I right in thinking I can tap the little pin out and the blade slots out being able to cut a new one or is it a main dealer jobby?

as long as you have a second key for a copy, I'd say try it. if not, go straight to dealer before it breaks. the cost of a new key will be far less than a new ignition system. had the same thing happen to me with a swan and ended up scrapping the car (saab's are terrible in the first place)

Google a specialist car key cutting place and let them do it. Shouldn't cost more than £20.

If you want you can open the case and take the blade out but be careful with the spring loading.

tap out the roll pin and get a new blade cut.

There is a guy on eBay that will cut a new blade from a picture of your old one.

And then post it to your house... wouldn't take the chance if he's got some dodgy mates. Wouldn't be the most elaborate way of nicking a car.

I got a blade and got it cut and Timpson for less than a tenner. Was a HAA key though, I think 8P keys are the same virtually.

I got a blade cut off the ebay guy, 100% happy and works fine £12 i think. Where as my local key cutters are £10 plus the price of a blade so probably around £15 - £20 easy enough to tap the pin out with a small nail / pin
