Hi all, anyone done this on a 3.2 and would it still be reliable?? or would it stuff my DSG box??
Thanks all

Why not turbo or supercharge it? There Aaron on the 8L section his S3 got it think it's pushing 350bhp
Well funny you should say that, me and a friend of mine that specialises in VAG cars are setting up a company refurbing turbos, fitting service also! may build myself a nice hybrid and go down that route eventually? but for now as a quick cheapish fix i thought nitrous would be cool!

Wow...words like reliable and quick/ cheap /nitrous/ just dont fit together very well.. The 3.2 is a great engine but its bad enough trying to keep a std one reliable. Putting nitrous on an old engine is the best way to find out its weak points :) I would imagine the first thing it will do is snap its timing chain :)

I think Paddy has hit the nail on the head.....cheap conversions that add a lot of power to an engine, and that includes crummy turbo or supercharger conversions as well as poorly implemented nitrous kits, are an excellent way of finding out which parts of the drivetrain and engine aren't quite up to the job.

It's all very well adding shall we say 100bhp to the car,but if the pistons, rods, crank, clutch and so on are not built for it then the result is obvious.

I've got a WON wet kit with progressive controller and all the shots from 25bhp upto 150bhp, remote bottle opener and bottle warmer looking to get it fitted soon using the 50bhp nozzle so will let you know the reliability in my R32

Seen a few turbo 3.2's on utube pushing 460 bhp! i thoughtn the engine was strong but transmission was the weak point!

I'd have thought a 50bhp jet wouldnt be too much for the engine but im sure its a costly option every time you have to get the tank refilled.

Nos is ace mate I've got a won progressive kit and Its been the best mod ive done so far
I would of thought you could easily add 100 bhp extra on that engine??? Don't take my word on that consult the experts
I'm down at santa pod on Sunday your welcome to take a look :)
