Joined the S3 Group at last

Hi guys/girls i have finaly bought a audi s3. i was going to buy one in june but got persuaded by my family to buy a audi a1 185 because i live in a small town and i wasnt 100% happy about it as i wanted a S3. But about 4 weeks ago the A1's gear box started messing up and i was glad to have an excuse to get a second hand S3 :). They offered to fix the gear box as it was under waranty but i told them i didnt like the car and wanted a S3. So after a week they found me a second hand S3 09 plate with only 24000 miles and speced up to what i was looking for. when i got the car i instantly loved it and its been putting a massive smile on my face since. i have had it remaped by revo stage one and am planing on changing the wheels to these :- 18" AUDI S3 (04-ON) BBS VZ Alloy Wheels Only | eBay would like to see what you guys/girls think about this and would love your feedback. i have only got these 2 photo of my car atm and will be taking more soon.

nice purchase, wheels will look spot on in that colour too!!

happy days and enojoy! any other plans? bit of a drop maybe?
 
yeah i thought they would look good :) and i dont know yet xmas is soon so got to buy others presants instead of spending on the car :( but might lower her need to look into it.
 
Very nice car, and the alloys..... There going to be my 1st purchase after i've got a S3. Hopefully the white one i'm going to look at on the weekend. They'll look amazing!!

ok well ill have some cheapish H&R springs for sale next month!! should snap them up!

I reckon it could become a Riachu without much problem? Yellow wing mirrors and rear wipers, couple of brown stripes on the side....

are they for the front and back or just the front? and how much do they lower the car? how much? and last question how long have you had them on the car for?

they are 4 springs, -25mm lower all round. Been on car for just over 10k. will be looking for around £100-120

sounds good but i will have to get back to you on them as i need to sort out my finances lol
 
Not seen an 09 plate without DRls before? Nice car tho mate. The BBS VZs seem very cheap compared to CHs etc. Maybe worth a look :))

yeah its a pre faclift model that was ordered then cancelled when it came to the dealers and so was waiting for a owner and got regestered in 2009

was gunna ask you guys/girls wheres the best place to buy parts from i.e. exhausts, springs etc
 
just added my first couple of mods before i had to buy xmas presants :) bought a forge DV and a forge twin air intake and got some pictures below p.s. i loving the sounds of the DV and induction are making together.

JKM / Forge / FR&R / JBS / regal are all good for engine mods.

DPM are great for suspension mods.

There are a few other members buried within the forums who can help you out with bits and bobs, so fill your boots and enjoy it; lovely car!

thanks im going to get all my part with my local garage you can see there name in one of the pics because there just down the road and they are official supplyers for milltek forge and many others and are VAG specialist. they got me the forge twin take for £320 and fitted for £360 which i thinks quite good :) getting more done in the new year with them a little excited tbh.

Cheers m8 im torn between thoses bbs or just spraying my standard wheels black/grey not 100% yet :think:

IMO the stock S3 wheels look great in silver as standard but they just don't look right when sprayed black or grey. Not sure what it is but I just don't like them like that. Must just be me though as a fair few do it. Only problem with the BBS wheels is they can look a tad small in 18's.

yeah not to everyones taste sparying the stock wheels black but i think they dont look to bad but will prob get the bbs i know what you mean might be a tad small but was going to get these fitted to my H&R LOWERING CUP SUSPENSION KITS for Audi S3 Quattro 8P - 11/06-> - 40100-1 - Lowers by 25mm/25mm [H&R 40100-1] | e-Parts.co.uk car since its the best compramise between springs and coilovers what do you think?

yeah i will have to get a vid of this for you guys just busy at work and that but will try soon i love the sound no modding for it for the next couple off months tho :( because of xmas presant buying but after the new year the suspension and other little things to get it ready for a stage 2 revo map :sly:

I haven't really, not had the money as when I do insurance, tax, Xmas etc happens to crop up!

All I've done is lower on h&r's and 10/12mm spacers.

Forge recirc valve and spacer.

My11 rear lights and resprayed front and rear end.
 
Hi guys/girls little update on the mods progress i have just had a TBE system from milltek but went for the resonated system so it wasnt to loud. Milltek advised a uprated engine mout aswell. Also i got told you have to have a stage 2 remap because you have to make the ecu used to having the sports cat. I spoke to Richard (oscarli main man) and my mechanic Steve long and hard about going for a oscarli stage 2 remap he said with the milltek system you will loose abit of low down torque but get more bhp up the top of the rev range, he also said the revo maps turn the boost up way high and with his remap he dosnt turn the turbo up to much because he wants the turbo to last abit longer. He said that the max BHP should be at 5800 RPM and the rev limiter he moved to 7200 RPM he didnt put the rev limiter to high because he wants my engine to last longer and not get damaged same with the turbo not having to high boost pressure. with regaurds to a revo stage 2 map (not stage 2+) it wont be to much less bhp or tourque. This is what i wanted because even tho i like the revo maps i wanted it to have a little less pressure on the turbo and engine. So i took the car out after he had finished all the mapping i took the car out and am very happy with the power like he said it has more power at the mid to top end of the rev range its great. Richard is a great guy and very noliagble about what hes doing and will answer all your questions also he came all the way to my mechanics work place because he wanted to make sure the ecu was set up just right so he is a top guy.

Cars in today was driving through traffic yesterday and when I dipped the clutch it would keep the revs at 2000rpm or rev between 1200-1700rpm. So Steve is looking for a air leek or will take the throttle body off and see if it's sticking. Has anyone had this problem?
