Hi got this code this morning while driving down to work.

My car has DPF removed and mapped for 6 months now and 2 days ago I removed rear box. Not sure if that causes the problem or it can be faulty lambda sensor? Any ideas? I'm booked to the garage this week to get it done but not sure if this means I need to put rear box back in? Thanks

This is the nearest fault code in the Ross-Tech library - looks like something to do with the dpf removal :- P242F/009263 - Ross-Tech Wiki

The car needs scanning with VCDS to see if there are any other fault codes first and then clearing the codes and see if they come back.

VCDS says: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circut Low
Bank 1 Sensor 3

Guy from a breakdown cover popped round to get it checked and he says its something to do with DPF indeed but now the light disappeared, car drives fine so was when the error came up. Quite bizzare.
