Replacing leather gear gaiter - anyone done it

Has anyone replaced their leather gear gaiter with an aftermarket leather gaiter - if so which supplier and what was the qulaity and fitment like?

An after market one will never fit or look as good as an OEM one. THe Best looking one IMHO is the S3 version that has parallel silver stitching in it, like this.

I just got a mk2 tt gear knob cheap and the original gaiter is letting the side down

where did you get the gear knob from? is it the standard knob or the S-line one?

i too am interested in a gear gaitor... i think i could have a potential supplier but just need to confirm.

From this supplier on ebay - Audi A1/A3/A4/A5/TT/Q5 Leather Shift Knob 6 OEM | eBay -received in 3 days from Hungary

I'll have to try to source a used S3 gaiter as Audi want £85 for theirs but that comes with the standard knob

I got mine 2nd had off ebay (i''ve same TT knob as in above link but mine came with the TT gaitor too LOL) with just the base which it rare as they usually come with the knob attached.
