am i right in reading that if you have bi-xenons that they can be enabled by re-programming? also.
would this be possible with one of them snap on computer thingys or would it have to be vag-com?

I know you can with standard headlights as I've done it on mine, but I'm not sure about bi-xenons.
Have a look in the FAQ's, I think it's mentioned in there.

I'm almost certain you'd need VCDS.

sorry, i meant just re-programming or do you still need to use the wire to earth??

You need Auto-light pack to be able to just do the reprogram, iirc.

you can do it by enabling the function on VCDS and then the earthing of the wire once, i did it on mine when i had halogens and then it carried on working when i retro fitted bi-xenons...
now i have retro fitted in the proper CH/LH switch as i have almost completed retro fitting in the Auto lights and wiper pack to my car.
