oil filter question

What i want to know is are audi and vw service parts the same?i'm doing an oil change at the weekend,if they are it will save doing a
30 mile round trip(sorry if this is a daft question).
 
Yeah the part number for the filter will be the same. Same at Seat and Skoda as well.
 
Probably find the filter is a shared part, if it isnt, there maybe a brand inhibited warning when a VW dealer tries to order an Audi part, but I suspect you'll be ok.
