Word of warning and a bit of help please!

Hi guys, the problem with my abs and dashboard lights I was having was intact a broken can wire in the passenger front footwell, right by the 2 earth leads. The wiring look had been chaffing right underneath where the passenger left foot sits! Looks like a common problem judging by where it is, I do have photos if need be. Needless to say I repaired and all is almost well. My only problem is I can't activate the driver steering recognition. I go into steering assist, (coding is 000000 ?) and can't adapt the dsr to activate. I type in 2 and click test and then it says test value 1 (which is dsr disactivated) any help would be great
