Hi all,
I recently replaced my front brake pads on my 55 plate 2.0 TDI DSG A3 and didn't have the torque setting for the caliper bolts as I did it all in a bit of a rush!

Does anyone have the torque spec for it or can anyone point me as to where it would be? I know it'll be in the Haynes Manual but I haven't got one...yet!

Just to clarify, I'm referring to the two bolts that hold the pad carrier to the fixed aprt of the Caliper, I think they were to hex-head bolts.

Thanks guys!

I just did mine to FT, never had any issues with that as of yet

Pardon my ignorance, but what does FT stand for? Fully tightened???

The thing with mine is that they've started squeeking under braking, not all the time, but most of the time. It could just be them bedding in, or i'm worried that it might be because they're not exactly the same tightness, so one side of the pad is hitting the disc first, resulting in the squeak!

After a quick look at ETKA it says 30Nm for fastening the fastening the brake caliper to the wheel bearing housing.

Hope this helps.

FT= ****ing tight. Did you copper grease the bits of the pad that move when you did them? Could be the cause of the squealing
