Got the service coming up soon. Best price I've got is £509. This will include brake fluid and haldex oil change. Is this a reasonable price or is there something better out there? Also they said I will need the spark plugs changing, in the service book it says this should be done at 57,000 miles/6 years. Any ideas cheers

Are there any VAG specialists in your local area you could try?

I want to keep it full Audi because I'll be selling it soon. Always looks better even though the specialists give more attention to the car!

Brake fluid and haldex change is £509?? Jeez!

Haldex on its own is around £60 - all they do is change the oil and not the filter as far as I know.

Brake fluid shouldn't take very long to do, hour max.

Spark plugs - do them yourself. You will get a stamp on the book anyway if you get them to do the oil and fluid but no point IMO paying someone to do something you can do in the comfort of your own driveway for a fraction of the price - plus you can put in better plugs instead of the OEM ones.

Which spark plugs Boydie? Is there any difference about spark plugs on standard car,stage1,stage2,stage3,...?

Anybody knows,if you supply Audi your own stuff (motor oil, haldex oil,filters,...) for service, whill they do it and give you the stamp in the service book or can they say no?

Thanks

Probably if they are genuine parts but you will get them cheaper yourself if you supply them from the likes of TPS (who audi get the parts from anyway!)

As far as I know, the more tuned the car, the cooler the spark plug should or could be. You can use the standard plugs no problem throughout the stages but just change them more often - so I am lead to believe but someone please correct me if I am wrong!
