The dealer has told me there is no re-call for the above on my car.
I figured that being an early 58 plate (October) it would need done.
Warranty obviously runs out in October and don't want to find issues if I re-map in the future.
Can anyone clarify this?
Also, any other things I should ask about?
Many thanks.

TBH it was for 07 cars & extended to Mk5's, Seats, 8P's etc, if yours isnt in a vin list then it wont be covered, now there's always the chance yours is an anomoly, but only way to know is to check whats fitted atm as they're colour coded, but check if your car has the coilpack recall, a shed load have.

Is this the spring located in the left exhaust pipe?

If so, remove the vacuum hose and cable tie it open - sounds a lot better!

No its for the exhaust springs in the engine, some of them are fitted with the wrong ones and you get valve bounce if you map it.
I did think about doing the exhaust "mod" before.
Can you just leave the hose open ended of does it affect other part?

Is this a sort of butterfly valve to decrease the noise when running around town but more growl when booting it?

Tied it open this afternoon, didn't like it, put it back to std.
I prefer the wee pop that it gives when the flapper is working.
