rear brakes,plastic tags?

Was checking my rear brakes today as i need new pads.as i was feeling around to see if they had sensors,i came across a plastic tag type thing on each of the rears,behind the disc and was just wondering what they were and what they were for

any ideas?

sorry, i cant say that i recognise it! Does it have a part number on it that I can type into ETKA to see if that helps.
 
Wtf is that lol, checked etka rears & nothing obvious, could be of a supporting part in that area.

The end design obviously goes into a hole as it has expending ends as such, to hold it in place.
 
Just a thought, tell me, does 1 end go into the other?
 
I changed my rear pads recently and i cam e across this tag. I was stumped and did not have a clue what it did. so i left well alone, if aint broke dont fix it :)
