I've got an 8P1 2.0 TDI 2004 plate 3 door just on 50k miles and it's due a service

Can anyone tell me if it would be due anything major like belts and pumps please?

As far as I am aware it hasn't had any done yet

Thanks

just an interim service mate, cambelt and pump is at 60k.

Cambelt every 60k or every 6 years.
You should change it if it hasn't been done yet.
If you do then change the water pump as well.

Cam belt should have been done before now,it goes on the age of the car not the milage. It should have been done a year ago !!!

"We recommend that your cambelt is replaced every 5 years or 75,000 miles, whichever comes first*"

thought the cambelt was every 60k or 5 years (whichever comes first) but being a 04 it should have been done along with the water pump if it was me.

has it been on a longlife service plan in the past?
i dont like the idea of longlife service plans so will service mine evry 10k with oil, filter, air filter. pollen filter and diesel filter every other service but its up to you.

if you look in your sevice book it will tell you what service is due

It was on a longlife service plan before but no sign of belts having been done last year. Will book it back in for the rest of the service then - thanks
