spacers???

Hi all just a question for a friend (has no internet at the mo)

my mate has recently brought a audi a3 170tdi quattro s line and was looking at spacers for the rear wheels and wondered what was the most he could go before it started rubbing, he will soon be lowering car on 50mm spring so will make car extra 20-30mm lower then it is as he has sline suspention! so little help at what will be best spacers for his car please

I'm on stock 18"s, ET54, 15mm spacers on the rear, had to remove a couple of arch screws and raise up a little to stop rubbing.

Only ever catches now going up and down those full road width speed bumps or if the cars full of ppl.

I reckon 10mm on the rear would be about perfect on a stock 18" wheel/tyre. Could probably go a lot lower then.

Well, that's mine own observations anyway!

As Nath says if you don't want any rubbing 12mm rear and 10mm up front.
