Audi need to up their game in the 2.0TDI range, and release this twin turbo 2.0 tdi cr thhat VAG are supposedly developing.
BMW have had their 201 bhp twin turbo out for a while now, now Merc have released theirs, both leave the 170ps 2.0 CR well behind. Having a similar engine in the A3 would mean you'd miss that ST-3 performance much less, so looks like a remap would have to suffice.

I'd imagine the new twin-turbo will be in the 3rd Gen A3, due supposedly toward the end of next year. There's a spy shot of one on test in this week's Auto Express... it looks pretty much the same as the outgoing A3, as far as I can tell. Evolution, not Revolution from Audi, as always. Not that I'm complaining, the A3 still looks great and the more similar they are, the less value mine should lose.
Oh dear...that would mean audi would have to get two turbo's working at the same time on one car......that will test them.

The main problem with the ST is it drinks more fuel than the 3.2 V6 and sounds pants in comparison (im comparing the R32 here as it sounds better than the audi version) Its marginally faster on the road but not enough to count. Also poo interior!

You need to get one and turbo it n8....Audi S3 3.2lt Turbo 800PS by 0-400 Tune 2 Race - POWER Techniques 131 Issue - - YouTube my mate had an r32 with tbe and it sounded wickedwould love to experience a 3.2 to see what all the fuss is about
