Hello,

Well planning for the future, I'd look to get the LED Bi-Xenon headlamps, they're costly but worth it :)
Main question, I wonder if anyone has tried to split them apart? Normal method is high temp oven, but as technology progresses with the sealants etc I suspect they're harder to break?
Reason I'm asking, if I do get them, I'd like to spray the chrome detail gloss black :)

Thoughts?

The new ones have sealant, but also are stapled together aswell.

Your a braver man than me. Like you said they aren't cheap!

Stapled? Interesting...
Well, shall see what happens :) Just thought it'd look better on a black car that's all :)

It's possible.. A couple of guys on VW Vortex have done it - on an A3 headlight and A4, give the forum a search..

It may be worthwhile asking a few members on e38 & ukmkivs who have done this on the mk4 headlight - i know it's not the same headlight, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for any tips..
