Folks, I'm currently on the look out for a set of the above alloys, and was looking a bit of back round info.

Are they from a Sport model, before the S-Line era?

Were they an optional extra?

From what I can see you could get them, the other wider 5 spoke wheels and then the thinner 5 spoke wheel also found in A4's and A6's. What model of A3 did each come on?

They're pricing difficult to find just.

Cheers.

These are the ones I have in mind;

They weren't a standard wheel and they weren't called parabolic... Parabolic was the standard wheel on early Sport models.

Thought that Boydie. You're folks wouldn't prefer a nice set of 16's!?

Sailo, is there not a model name like "Avus"?

Any idea what they are called?

Found my 2004 Brochure... I was wrong in my earlier post. The wheels in your picture were in fact the standard Sport wheel and were called "5 Arm". The "Parabolic" wheels which were actually called "5 Arm Parabolic" were in fact an option wheel at a cost of £355 or you could of had "5 Spoke Star" wheels for the same cost. All 17"...

Just saw your thread. They're not the wheels I'm after.

I literally just sold a set of them on Friday too!

Haha no worries. Just out of interest how much did u get for them?
