    DSG launch control?

Following on from a thread started a few weeks ago, I decided to try out the supposed 'launch control'.

Put the lever into 'sport', foot on brake pedal, traction control off, push accelerator a little...

The car is evidently trying to 'push' against the brakes, it isnt holding revs or preparing to launch in any way, its just fighting against the brakes! Theres no way im going full throttle!

So...am i doing something wrong? Or do some cars not have launch control?

If you don't have launch control, then this is the workaround:

    1 - Turn of ESP
2 - Put on hand brake if you are on an incline
    3 - Shift into Neutral
4 - Put your foot on the brake
    5 - Put shifter between N and D
6 - Release brakes to see if you get the flashing D, repeat step 3-6 until you see the flashing D
    7 - Shift into D, M or S
8 - Step on accelerator until the desired launch RPM is reached
9 - Release handbrakes (if you had it engaged)
10 - Tap on brake and at the same time, floor the accelerator.

Early cars, only the 3.2 had launch control as std. Either way rick you would need to turn off ESP before anything else.
Ibis white Revo S3 and now matching Vivaro LWB HR 2900 :-)
