H&R Cup Lowering Springs & Shocks kit???

never seen this fitted.. i reckon its the perfect alternative to coilovers.. Springs are good but i can definately feel the fact the springs aren't matched to the dampers. My springs look good, but when going over bad road surface they feel less balanced than stock. Im told this doesnt happen when you have a matched damper. So with this kit you shouldn't have that problem... and a lot cheaper than H&R Coilovers! my 2p Ad

What you've said about your handling is my worry about just changing my springs only. And it would be worse with my Sport dampers.
Think I might go for this kit.

I am interested in the same kit for the S3. I would probably be inclined to go down the 'spring' route but the ride can be a bit crashy as it is where I am with the standard suspension already. There was clearly only so long I could hold off the temptation to mod...

That's what I have on mine, really nice and yes it's firmer over speed bumps but I like the ride more on the road. I've had springs before on a cooper S and I was too bouncy. Rebound is good on the H&R's

How much did you pay in total for the kit and fitting if you don't mind me asking??

I got the kit from Damien, same link as you have up top, was the best price, fitting I can't remember, was just over £100 I think say £200 to be safe.

If I had one comment it would be to get the spacers while your at it, looks much nicer.

I should be getting a lower offset set of wheels soon so will see how they look without first.

for an extra £50 or so you could have a set of kw coilovers. Far better option IMO, you'll be able toget the ride height just as you want it

Do you know anybody who has used these???
I'm assuming the H&R kit is going to give a better quailty ride?

To be honest, i'm not really bothered about changing heights, -50mm H&R gives pretty much exactly the height I want.
