    Oil warning question

    My car flashed up withba low oli warning so in topped up with the correct oil, butbthevwarning still comes up, do I have to get it reset at Audi?

    No, it should go out when you fill it up... How much did you put in? What is the level on the dip stick?

    Hmmm I didnt think so but you never know with Audi wanting to charge you for anything!

    I put in about a litre and on the dipstick it now says the level is fine?

    I had the message come on the DIS for oil last year and it took more than a litre to get the level correct... 1 litre is from min to max on the dip stick. Have you checked the oil with the engine warm, but switched of for 15 mins on level ground?...

    If your confident your checks are ok and you have got the right amount in the engine, then it's a failed sensor...

    EDIT... No probs on the spelling!! I didn't notice!!

    I have checked with the engine war and fold and yes on level ground thought I had maybe out in too much but still says check oil level min??
