Picked up some black powder coated genuine S line wheels last night for my A3 SB.

Fitted them to the car but Akoya Silver on black wheels isn't my thing so I'm going to get them refurbished back to silver for an OEM look.

Thing is I can't be without my car as I need it to get to Leeds everyday, does anyone no of any good 'drive in, drive out' powder coat alloy wheel specialists around the West Yorkshire area, i've heard that some places will let you drop the car off at 8am in the morning and pick it up at night when the jobs done etc.

Thanks

I had mine refurbished there (Leeds branch). Not the cheapest but definately a first class job.

+ they do exactly the service you wanted where you drop the car off in the morning (& they drive you to train/bus station/work) & you collect the car later the same day.

I actually emailed this place yesterday (filled out the online price request form). Did you have your wheels powder coated? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the job?

Thanks

I'm in Manchester, if you drop them off to me I can refurb them for you.

I would do mate, but i need the car. I don't have a spare set to roll around on in the mean time. If i did this whole process would be much easier.

IIRC They remove the tyres, blast the wheels, fill/repair any kerbing/dings & powder coat the wheels as standard (+ fit lovely shiny valve covers & caps! ).

Mine was around £70 a wheel I think.

I've not got any spares atm

Shame as i've just been quoted £316.17 to remove tyres, clean, prep, powder coat and powder lacquer and put the tyres back on within a day at the firm posted buy 'GTI Jazz Blue'.. Seems a tad expensive to me that does. Fair enough i know there's some work taking the tyres off and sticking them back on the rims and balancing etc but still seems a lot consider i know some people that have had it done for the £150 - £160 mark!

That is alot

What's your rates and turn around times mate, not too fussed about powder coating (if you don't do that) it was just they been powder coated before so I thought I'd have them done like that again, repainting would suffice as long as they were done correctly, had a dodgy job done on some previous wheels, as soon as the jet wash went near them, the paint would fall off!

I'd need the tyres removing and then refitting also.

Thanks
