Will the cylinder head off an a3 58 plate go into a 53 plate ?? Apparantly up to the 58 plate is the same engine ? 2.0 tdi 140 bhp sport?

As long as it is a BKD head then yes. The PD170 head will fit a PD140 as well but you will need to change the cams,rockers and injectors. Pressure testing a head before fitting i believe is a good idea as testing costs about £30-50 and can save you alot of money if you don`t know much about the engine the head came from, you can never believe what the adverts say on ebay etc.
