S3 Shifter issues

Managed to break something at GTI at the weekend but not sure what i have broken.

Really struggling to get 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th as its all over the shop.

When I put the shifter into 4th gear and am driving along, I can move the shifter across to 2nd and 6th without it changing gear. This happens in any of 2nd, 4th and 6th.

Anyone had this problem and can offer and advice cos I reckon its the shifter rather than the box.

HELP!!

The last Audi master tech I had any dealings with didnt even know my car had a ****** Haldex filter!

The Audi service department suggested that it was the clutch.......which was new 3k miles ago and is a Sachs organic.

Despite the fact that its not changing gear when i move the stick across the lower H of the box. So its either the shifter or the relay lever.
