production delay!

My Sportback should have been delivered this week (week 4 build) but my dealer tells me that there's a delay in production. I'll have to wait for another 2 weeks! Appearantly my car is in production but not yet finished.

I don't believe the /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/swear.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/swear.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bang.gif

Does anybody else got this "delay" problem?

I was told (when I ordered my sportback) that there are so many orders especially for the 2.0 TDI engines as from the beginning of this year the assembly plant add a 2 to 4 weeks delay in delivery date.

i've been told the same by Audi Wakefield - the 2.0 TDi engine is in such high demand by all the VAG group that cars with this engine are taking longer to supply, the 1.9 or 2.5 units can be sourced a lot quicker

Mine is the 1.9 and I already ordered it beginning of november so these delays shouldn't affect me.
