Problem with Deadlocking

Recently when double clicking to deadlock vehicle, on the second click as the car deadlocks it makes a weird noise. Noise sounds like a cat 'myawing' - spelling.

Any body else had this problem ?.

Never heard of this double clicking. I remember reading that the A3 did very well on security tests with its 'Deadlocks' but just assumed it was automatic, ie that the doors where always deadlocked when you locked the doors and you didn't have do do anything specific to actually deadlock?

You only need to press the button once, as the deadlocks automatically come on with one click.
Don't know what the noise is though, sorry

My Vectra would deadlock on the second click. I didn't find anything about a second click needed in the manual of the A3, so I gues it automatically deadlocks as soon as you lock it from the outside.

On the golf if you double clikc the lock button it turns of the interior ultra sonics...

It does help if I read the owners manual dosen't it....doh !

Must have got into the habit of double clicking with wife's fiesta.

Dosen't explain the stray cat though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
